Competition – April 26-27, 2024
This is a State Championship.
Maximum teams for 2024 competition will be 36. Any team after 36 will be put on a waiting list.
Marietta River City BBQ is a KCBS (Kansas City Barbeque Society) Master Series Sanctioned BBQ competition in SE Ohio. Master Series Sanctioned Contests are eligible for the American Royal and the Jack Daniels World Championship. In addition, all KCBS team members who participate in a Master Series Sanctioned Contest earn points towards the KCBS Team of the Year awards held each year at our annual banquet.
To be considered for GC / RGC, you must compete in all 4 meat categories. Team entry fee covers to compete 1 to 4 meats (Brisket, Chicken, Ribs and Pork).
Entry Fees
Per Entry Fee – $325.00 (thru April 6, 2024)
Per Entry Fee – $350.00 (after April 6, 2024)
Prize Money – $5,200.00
Grand Champion – $1,000.00
Reserve Grand Champion – $600.00
KCBS One Meat (Chicken) Award Payout
1st Place – $200.00
2nd Place – $150.00
3rd Place – $100.00
** More teams participate, payout/place might be increased.
