Cook-Off – April 27, 2024
Recipe entries require the original main dish/entree/main course recipe is prepared and cooked in Lodge® Cast Iron cookware.
The ten finalists chosen must compete during the National Cornbread Festival®.
Only one recipe per entrant will be accepted.
This competition starts as a recipe contest which turns into a cook-off.
Judging Criteria for Recipes
taste (1 to 30 points)
creativity (1 to 30 points)
appropriate use of product (1 to 15 points)
ease of preparation (1 to 15 points)
visual appeal (1 to 10 points). A
Cook-Off
The Finalists’ (10) recipes will be prepared by Finalists at the National Cornbread Cook-Off in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, on April 27, 2024. All recipes must be exactly as submitted.
First Prize – $5,000.00/Cash and 30-inch stainless steel gas range from FiveStar® Professional Cooking Equipment, and special gifts from Lodge® Cast Iron
Second Prize – $1,500.00/Cash and special gifts from Lodge® Cast Iron and other sponsors
Third Prize – $1,000.00/Cash and special gifts from Lodge® Cast Iron and other sponsors
Honorable Mention (7) – $150.00/Cash and special gifts from Lodge® Cast Iron and other sponsors
Each Finalist will be responsible for their own travel and lodging arrangements but will receive a $500.00 reimbursement to help cover expenses.
