Competition – March 2, 2024
This Event is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society. KCBS representatives will be present. Judging starts at noon on Saturday, March 2, 2024, using the blind judging technique.
The contest consists of two categories (chicken and pork ribs). Both categories are required for Grand Champion prizes.

8am-8pm – Set up
2pm-4pm – Meat Inspection
4pm – Cook’s Meeting
10pm-6am – Quiet Time
Saturday, March 2, 2024

1:30pm – Brisket- Professional
2:00pm – Sauce
5:00pm – Awards Ceremony
Entry Fees
Per Entry Fee – $250.00
Purse Prize – $4,400.00
Grand Champion* – $1,000.00
Reserve Champion* – $750.00
3rd Overall – $500.00
4th Overall – $400.00
5th Overall – $300.00
*Each team is required to cook two categories (chicken and pork ribs) for eligibility to win.
