Competition – April 25-27, 2024
ATHENA IOOC is a constantly growing international olive oil competition and the only one of its kind organized in Greece. It has gained the trust of hundreds of producers from all olive growing countries and the respect of the most renowned international olive oil judges. Some of them have even ranked it among the three most important international olive oil competitions in the world for several years.
In 2024, it will be the 9th time that it is organized and held in the historic city of Sparta, the capital of the broader region of Laconia, which administratively belongs to the region of the Peloponnese. A region where the cultivation of olive trees extends throughout the lengths and breadths of Laconian land.

Early Bird (Submitted by January 2, 2024)
1 Sample: €180.00 + 24% VAT = €225.00
2 Samples: €320.00 + 24% VAT = €202.50
3 Samples: €456.00 + 24% VAT = €191.25
4 Samples: €584.00 + 24% VAT = €180.00
5 Samples: €584.00 + 24% VAT = No Charge

Samples must be received by the competition organizer no later than March 29, 2024.
Olive oil entries are assessed using a scoring system with a maximum score of 100. Awards are based on the following table:
65,0/100 to 74,9/100: Bronze medal
75,0/100 to 84,9/100: Silver medal
85,0/100 to 94,9/100: Gold medal
95,0/100 to 100/100: Double Gold or Grand Gold medal
The ATHENA 2024 award ceremony will take place on Sunday, June 2, 2024, in Athens, at the Zappeion Megaro.
