AFC is The Largest Homebrew Competition in Southern California
QUAFF was founded in 1989 and currently has almost 300 active members, making it one of the largest Homebrew Clubs in the US. We began running AFC in 1992 and it has historically been the largest homebrew competition in Southern California.

High Quality Awards: Medals are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place at all 40 tables (minimum score of 25 is required to medal).
Best of Show (BOS) plaques + BOS awards (including INKBIRD product) will also be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd BOS in Beer and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd BOS in Mead/Cider combined.
The BOS Beer (no sour, no wood) will be scaled up by Ballast Point Little Italy! The BOS Mead will be scaled up by Lost Cause Meadery! Finally, the homebrewer who earns the most points at AFC is named the “Brew Machine” and receives a plaque and this year will also receive a 7 gallon Chronical 2.0, sponsored by Ss Brewtech!
