Judging – January 15-16, 2024 – BY INVITATION ONLY
The American Fine Wine Competition’s “The Invitational” wine judging is now in its 16th year and takes place at FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality.
AFWC is considered the most prestigious of all wine competitions in the U.S. To participate, wines are vetted and then personally invited by one of the AFWC Acquisition team.
Judges include 36 of the finest palates in the country and abroad.

Four (4) bottles of each participating wine is required:
two for the judging,
one (which should be signed by Winemaker or Vintner) is used for charity auctions, and
one bottle is used for promotion at events attended by wine enthusiasts, wine buyers, suppliers, and distributors.
Medals (bronze, silver, gold and double gold, plus Best of Class and Best of Show) and points (based on a 100-point scale) are awarded.
