This contest goes out to the big, bold flavors of barleywine that maybe don’t fit the classic American or English style definitions – and might not have the opportunity to shine at a general open competition.

Long term beer projects are a tremendous feat, and we’d like to honor those that put in the time. We’d also like to help out anyone looking for feedback or suggestions to improve their barleywine.
