Open invitations are extended to cake decorator attendees to participate in the 2023 That Takes the Cake “Mystery Box” on-site competitions that will take place in the Special Events stage area.

The boxes for each session will be different but will be identical for each competitor within each session. Each competitor should bring one teammate per session to assist them. Up to 6 teams may compete in each session.

Expert judges will pick winners at the end of each session. Along with standard judging criteria, teams will be judged on the use and application of the items in the mystery box.  As added incentive, competitors will get to keep the items from their mystery box.  All supplies and tools are provided.

If all slots are not filled in advance, competitors may be added on-site, however, we ask that you sign up for only one session.
