Get ready for the 5th annual Smoke on the Bricks BBQ contest and Taste of Baldwin City in 2023, powered by Rice Precision Manufacturing!  Mark your calendars for August 25th-26th for a weekend you won’t forget.  This Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned competition is a qualifying event for the American Royal World Series of Barbecue and the Jack Daniels World Championship for 2024.

Smoke on the Bricks in 2023 is a Smokin’ With Smithfield grant recipient for the 2nd time in 3 years. In addition, get ready for one of the best Def Leppard tribute bands in the country taking the stage Friday night! Come hungry and ready to party for the 5th Anniversary of Smoke on the Bricks! Can Slaps BBQ become the first ever repeat champion? Will Smokin’ Timbers or Gettin’ Basted, reserve grand champs and third place finishers from 2022, take the title? – 6:00PM-8:00PM: BBQ Vendors will begin selling

– 8:00PM-10:00PM: Pyromaniacs takes the stage
