There will be a maximum of five (5) teams. Each team will be comprised of an Applicant Decorator and a “Celebrity” decorator chosen by blind draw. The applicant decorators’ experience will range from beginners to professionals. This Challenge is open to decorators at all levels. Decorators must be registered for Cake Expo 2021. Applications must be received no later than June 1, 2021. All applicants chosen will be notified by July 1, 2020; notification will include the theme for the competition. Applicants and celebrities will learn who their team members and partners are on the day of the competition. There is no entry fee to apply.

All materials needed will be provided. After teams are drawn, you will have 15 minutes to collaborate on a vision, then the Applicant Decorator will work alone for 45 minutes, next the Celebrity Decorator will work alone for 45 min, and finally the team will work together for the remaining 1 hour and 15 min to complete their cake.

The final cakes will be judged by popular vote, and the winning team will receive awards to be presented during the Sunday Cake Expo Awards Presentation. Each member of the winning first place team will receive a year’s membership to ICES and “Bragging Rights.” Additional Prizes may be awarded for First, Second, and Third Places.

CHALLENGE RULES:
