The organizers will set the award categories for the competition based on the number of entries received in each BJCP style.

1st 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded to the three top-rated entries in all judged categories. Honorable Mentions are awarded at the discretion of the judges.

The 1st place entry in each category will advance to the Best of Show (BOS) round with a single, overall Best of Show beer selected.

Additional prizes may be awarded to those winners present at the awards ceremony at the discretion of the competition organizers.

Awards, prizes, and certificates will be distributed to winners or representatives in attendance that evening. Remaining prizes will be distributed by local pick-up or by mail as necessary.

Both score sheets and awards will be available for pick up that night after the ceremony concludes. Awards and score sheets not picked up will be mailed back to participants.  We are not responsible for lost or misdirected mail. Any compensation for lost sheets is at the sole discretion of the competition staff and any compensation offered will be in the form of entry certificates to a future competition.

Results will be posted to the competition web site after the ceremony concludes.

First place winners in BJCP categories 1-34 will compete in the Beer Best of Show for awards and prizes.

Categories M1-M4 and C1-C2 will compete in the Mead & Cider Best of Show for awards and prizes.

General Info All entry fees must be paid in full at or before the time the entry is shipped or dropped off.

Each entry will consist of capped or corked bottles that are void of all identifying information, including labels and embossing. Printed caps are allowed, but must be blacked out completely.

10-12oz brown glass bottles are required for beer.  Clear glass is acceptable for meads/ciders.  Corked/caged entries are acceptable for highly carbonated styles.

Cans will not be accepted in 2021.  We have accepted cans in the past because we’ve had stewards able to pour the entries out of view of the judges.  This year with no stewards, judges are pouring their own entries and judging together via Zoom, so we just can’t provide this level of anonymity.  We expect to be back to our previous rules in 2022.

Bottles will not be returned to contest entrants.

All requisite paperwork must be submitted with each entry and can be printed directly from this website. Entry paperwork should be attached to bottles by rubber band - no tape or glue.

Please fill out the online entry forms completely. Be meticulous about noting any special ingredients that must be specified per the 2015 BJCP Style Guidelines. Failure to note such ingredients may impact the judges' scoring of your entry.
