This starts off as a recipe contest and turns into a cooking contest. Recipes must be original and include at least six (6) cloves of fresh garlic, or the equivalent packaged form (three teaspoons minced or chopped). CONTESTANTS MAY SUBMIT MAY SUBMIT A MAXIMUM OF TWO RECIPES. – The Gilroy Garlic Festival will provide each contestant residing a distance of more than 100 miles from Gilroy with hotel accommodations. These accommodations include one hotel room for one night in Gilroy. – The Gilroy Garlic Festival will make the hotel arrangements, but each contestant is expected to make his or her own travel arrangements to Gilroy, California. Notification and details of Cook-Off participation will be made to the eight finalists prior to June 15, 2020.
