2020 "Deck Out Our Menu" Recipe Contest

General Information

ILLINOIS – (Entrants MUST reside within 30 miles of Chicago, Ill.)

Calling all chefs, home cooks and seafood enthusiasts! Lawrence’s Fish & Shrimp is 70 years young and proud to serve some of our original family recipes. But with people stuck at home, including very talented restaurant workers, we couldn’t think of a better time to put out a call for help developing NEW recipes.

Winner Selection. All entries will be judged on or around Monday, April 27, 2020 by a panel of judges comprised of Lawrence’s Fish & Shrimp employees. The judges will score entries based on the following criteria:
– a. Tastiness (30%). How yummy it sounds.
– b. Fit with Existing Menu (30%). Different enough to stand out from existing menu, but not so different it’s out of place.
– c. Ease of Preparation (30%). Feasible to prep in a high volume, quick service restaurant.
– d. Eye-catching (10%). How yummy it looks, after all, the first taste is with our eyes!

Prizes / Awards / Medals / Ribbons

Two (2) winners will be chosen and notified on or around Friday, May 1, 2020. Each winner will be awarded a $500.00 cash prize.
