General Information

Open for registration for the 7th Annual Picnique Belgique–a BJCP Competition for homebrews in Categories 23, 24, 25, 26.

Two 12 oz bottles are required, deadline to enter them is Sept. 1st.

The event will include a Belgian-themed menu, Belgian beers (homebrewed and commercial), and guest speaker Keke Gibb, Boulevard Microbiologist. She will teach about the evolution and genetic differences between saison and abbey yeasts.

A special medal will be awarded for Best of Show.

There will be additional Belgian-related prizes.

At the conclusion of the Picnique Belgique Awards Event, medals will be given for First, Second, and Third Place in the BJCP Competition–if there are at least ten entries per category. Otherwise, only a first place medal will be awarded for each subcategory. Participants may submit one entry per subcategory.

The awards ceremony for the BJCP Competition will take place approximately 8 PM.

The 1st place entry in each category will advance to the Best of Show (BOS) round with a single, overall Best of Show beer selected.

Additional prizes may be awarded to those winners present at the awards ceremony at the discretion of the competition organizers.

Both score sheets and awards will be available for pick up after the ceremony concludes. Medals and score sheets not picked up will be mailed back to participants. Results will be posted to the competition web site after the ceremony concludes.
