This is to qualify for the Cook-Off.

Recipes for the Legendary Lentil Cook-Off must be original and specify at least ½ cup raw USA lentils, 1 cup cooked USA lentils and/or ½ cup of lentil flour.

No more than 15 ingredients not including salt, pepper or an oiled pan.

The National Lentil Festival will provide each contestant with one hotel room for two nights in Pullman (Friday night and Saturday night). Additional room charges are the sole responsibility of the contestant.

Travel instructions will be provided July 10. Each contestant is expected to make his or her own travel arrangements to Pullman, Washington. If warranted, up to $500 will be reimbursed to contestants contingent upon submission of travel receipts.

Qualifying receipts include: airfare, rental car or mileage. Mileage will be reimbursed based upon the set rate of the IRS at the time of the festival. Ground transportation will be provided by the festival.
