General Information
KCBS is “the largest international organization of barbeque enthusiasts” and has sanctioned the Lakeland Pigfest since its first contest in 1997. Professional teams travel from all over the U.S. to compete in four categories: Ribs, Chicken, Pork and Brisket. They come for camaraderie and the Florida sunshine (what could be better than Florida in January!).
Entry Fees
Kingsford Professional Per Entry Fee – $325.00 (20′ x 20′ Cook Space, 20amp Power)
Dessert Competition Per Entry Fee – $25.00 (Teams may submit multiple paid entries.)
Sauce Competition Per Entry Fee – $25.00 (Teams may submit multiple paid entries.)
Anything Butt Competition Per Entry Fee – $25.00 (Teams may submit multiple paid entries.)
KINGSFORD PROFESSIONAL CONTEST PURSE PRIZE:
Grand Champion – $6,500.00
Reserve Grand Champion – $3,000.00
3rd Overall – $1,000.00
4th Overall – $650.00
5th Overall – $550.00

1st Place – $850.00
2nd Place – $650.00

Trophies will be awarded for 1st through 5th Place in all four (4) meat categories.
Ribbons will be awarded for 6th through 10th Place in all four (4) meat categories.
Governor’s Award – Trophy to highest overall scoring team from Florida.
