The 5th Annual “Pigs & Pedals” BBQ cooking competition is held in conjunction with the Zooland AACA Region 28th Annual Antique Car Show. This State Championship is a two day fun filled event with a People’s Choice Competition, Kid’s Que, food vendors, beer garden, hot dog eating contest, pig eating contest (pig cupcakes) and FREE entertainment from a local band. This event is a Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) sanctioned BBQ cooking competition that has been proclaimed a North Carolina State Barbecue Championship. So come join us on Friday & Saturday. On Saturday make sure to visit the People’s choice tent where you can taste and judge the barbeque prepared by the teams competing.
Total Purse: $12,000.
Grand Champion: $2,000.
Reserve Champion: $1,000.
Each KCBS Category: Chicken, ribs, pork and brisket
1st place: $525 Trophy
2nd place: $425 Trophy
3rd place: $325 Trophy
4th place: $275 banner
5th place: $200 banner
6th place: $150 ribbon
7th place: $125 ribbon
8th place: $100 ribbon
9th place: $75 ribbon
10th place: $50 ribbon
