The Texas Food Championship was created to unite pitmasters, chefs, and home cooks from across the Lone Star State into one powerful team: Team Texas. This isn’t just about individual glory — it’s about celebrating the people, flavors, and traditions that make Texas the strongest culinary state in the nation.
And what better way to honor our chefs than by hosting a festival dedicated to them — a full celebration of Texas food, beverage, and community. On the shores of Corpus Christi, the Texas Food Championship becomes the rally point for our state’s culinary spirit. Here, every bite tells a story, every sip celebrates our craft, and every chef competes not just for themselves, but for the pride of representing Texas on the world stage.
Important Competitor Selection Notice
– Each non-BBQ competition category is limited to 10 competitors.
– The BBQ category is limited to 20 competitors.
– Registration does not guarantee placement until your confirmation email is received.
– A confirmation email will be sent after registration verifying which category you have been officially accepted into.
Winners from each category will earn their Golden Ticket to the World Food Championships, joining Team Texas to showcase our heritage, our hospitality, and our unmatched flavor.
