The Missing Linck Festival celebrates the yeast found in the old Pre-Prohibition Linck Brewery in over the Rhine. The yeast was discovered by a team led by Bret Kollman Baker (Urban Artifact) and isolated & cultered by Omega Yeast. The competition is a challenge to use the yeast and better understand its overall potential to make great (and sometimes unusual) beer using this found yeast.
The yeast is provided free of charge for homebrewers entering the competition.
Entry Fees
Per Entry Fee – $5.00
– Best of Show (First place), Second Place, Third Place
– Ancients (Best aged beer from 2025 or earlier)
– Most Creative Beer
Awards will include a bag of grain (these will be pre-ordered, so highest place gets first choice of
grain).
