This starts as a recipe contest then becomes a Chowder Cook-Off.
The CRU Winery Chowder Cook-Off is a tribute to the winery’s Central Coast wines and tasting room located in Monterey’s Santa Lucia Highlands.
Recipes will be judged on creativity, overall quality, and how well the recipes pair with the variety of CRU Winery’s single-vineyard Chardonnays. From the recipes submitted, the winery will select two finalists who will receive a two-night stay in Monterey, California.
Each entry will be judged based on the clear relationship between the submission and the following criteria:
– 33.3% Creativity of Recipe
– 33.3% Quality of Recipe
– 33.3% How well recipe pairs with Chardonnay
Grand Prize (1)
– A 3 day/2night stay for two (2) people to Monterey, CA (2 nights hotel accommodations at a hotel selected by the Sponsor, travel stipend for transportation and incidentals)
– A Cru Winery gift
First Prize (1)
– A day/2night stay for two (2) people to Monterey, CA (2 nights hotel accommodations at a hotel selected by the Sponsor, travel stipend for transportation and incidentals)
