The VN DPG is thrilled to announce its “Food Around the World” Recipe Contest. Preparation of common food staples vary by region, culture, or ethnicity and we would love to know how VN Members use these ingredients in their cooking. Recipe entries must feature Rice, Beans (legumes), or Potatoes.
Celebrate National Nutrition Month®
This year’s theme is “Fuel for the Future.” Eating with sustainability in mind is a tasty way to nourish ourselves during every phase of life and protect the environment. A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist can help you create healthy habits that are sustainable and celebrate your unique needs.
Guidelines for Submission
– Must be a VN member
– Must be an original recipe
– Must be a full recipe including author contact info, recipe title, ingredient list, directions, serving size, and number of servings, photo of completed recipe, total prep time
– Recipe may not include product (brand) names
– Only one entry per category
– Must submit to one of three categories:
– Rice
– Beans (legumes)
– Potatoes
Grand Prize (1) – $100.00/To Be Awarded In Each Category
Top Category Winners – Along with their winning recipe, will be featured in the Vegetarian Nutrition Update Newsletter.
