General Information
Competition – February 24-25, 2023
This is a State Championship and a New Contest.
Thank you for your interest in competing in the Downtown Mesa BBQ Classic, happening February 24 and 25, 2023 in Downtown Mesa, Arizona.
The competition is an extension of “I Love Mesa Day BBQ, Brews & Blues,” a city-wide, one-day family celebration. February is a prime tourism month in Arizona and usually offers superb weather conditions for visitors.
The Downtown Mesa BBQ Classic is a sanctioned KCBS competition. You must have a current KCBS membership to participate.
Three Contests – One-Meat, Masters Series, and People’s Choice.
Entry Fees
Per Entry Fee – $200.00 (Master Series – Saturday)
Per Entry Fee – $50.00 (One-Meat Competition – Friday)
Per Entry Fee – FREE (People’s Choice Competition* – Saturday)
* No cost to enter People’s Choice, but participants agree to accommodate service for the number of sampling/tasting tickets sold. Participants will receive allocated compensation in the amount of 70% of ticket sales divided equally among the number of participants. Participants will be listed in ticket sales promotions and notified of final quantity of tickets sold by February 15, 2023
