The Open Prairie® Natural Meats team understands the value of openness – it’s our namesake. Now we’re welcoming all U.S.-based chefs to open their kitchens and show off their creative chops.
Selected chefs will be provided with Open Prairie Pork Belly to create a showstopping dish. The top-ranked chef will win an all-inclusive trip for two to Alisal Ranch in California’s Santa Ynez Valley.
Located on 10,500 acres in the heart of Santa Barbara Wine Country, Alisal Ranch offers guests a modern taste of the Old West. Under the open sky, guests can connect with history, unwind and embrace their own sense of wanderlust.
Sample shipment. 25 chefs will be selected to receive a complimentary pork belly sample by June 11, 2023.
Dish creation and submission. Competitors will have until June 25, 2023 to create an original dish and post it on their public Instagram account, tagging @openprairienatural, @tysonfreshmeatsfoodservice and using #2023greatwideopencontest
Judging. Judges will review entries and announce winners on or around June 30, 2023.
Grand Prize – All expenses paid trip for two, lasting four nights and five days, at Alisal Ranch, in Solvang, California. Billed as a “luxury dude ranch,” it is The World’s First Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Guest Ranch.
Second Prize – $500.00/Check, plus Open Prairie Natural Meats branded merchandise.
Third Prize – $250.00/Check, plus Open Prairie Natural Meats branded merchandise.
