Competition – August 19-20, 2022
Whether you spell it BBQ, Barbeque or Barbecue, it’s the taste of America. This year, BBQ & Fly-In on the River will be located at the Excelsior Springs Memorial Airport, celebrating for its 22nd year!
Mark your calendars and join us Friday, August 19th through Saturday, August 20th while over 70 BBQ Teams compete to take home the trophy! This year’s annual competition will feature some of the top pitmasters in the nation battling it out in the rugged competition, the aromas of meat filling the air, great music, food, beer, cornhole tournaments, a BBQ Calcutta and so much more! It’s promising fun for the entire family!
Contest Entry Fee includes overnight stay at the Excelsior Springs Memorial Airport, bathrooms, water, and trash/ash dumping. Most sites are 25’x30′. Contest Entry is $250.00.
Teams must enter the 4 main KCBS categories to be eligible for Grand and Reserve Grand Champion.
Pasta provided to teams at check-in. Turn in before 4 main KCBS Categories.
Limit 100 teams per competition day.
