Campground website for driving instructions. Besides offering camping spots, the Campground also offers a variety of cabin rentals. Teams will mostly be located in campsites centered around the northern Hilltop Pavilion (www.triplebrook.com/campsites-2/campsites/), where turn-ins will take place.
General Information
New Jersey KnoQ-out offers KCBS Masters, Backyard and Master of Ribs contests, allowing teamsof all skillsets to compete in multiple contests. Each Masters contest is a sanctioned KCBS state championship, and qualifies for The Jack and American Royal. Separate awards will be given to the Most Improved Team (comparing Day 1 and Day 2 overall scores) and to the Best 2-Day Total (adding Day 1 and Day 2 overall scores).
BASIC INFORMATION
– Team Minimums: 20 per each Masters Contest, 10 for Backyard Contest, 10 per each Master of Ribs contest.
– Each Masters contest has a separate entry fee; a multi-contest discount is available to compete both days.
– Each Masters and Backyard contest’s entry fee includes (1) night’s stay at a campground with water, 20/30+ amp electric, bathrooms, hot showers, and sewage/dump station. Most campsites are at least 30’x30′.
– Masters teams must enter the 4 main contest categories to be eligible for Grand and Reserve Grand Champion.
– A One-Meat “Master of Ribs” contest will take place both Friday and Saturday nights; points accrue to Ribs TOY.
– Sunday has an optional 5th category for Dessert; teams must provide all supplies.
– Main contests can be held with either full payment or $100 nonrefundable deposit, paid in full 30 days prior.

MASTERS: Trophies will be awarded to Grand, Reserve Grand, and 1st through 3rd for the four (4) main KCBS categories; certificates awarded to 4th and 5th.
20 teams = $3,000.00 to 6th place per category
25 teams = $4,000.00 to 8th place
30 teams = $5,000.00 to 8th place
35 teams = $6,000.00 to 10th place
40 teams = $7,000.00 to 10th place
45 plus teams = $8,000.00 to 12th place
BACKYARD CONTEST: Will award trophies to Grand, Reserve Grand, and 1st through 3rd for both categories; certificates awarded to 4th and 5th. Master of Ribs Contests will award trophies to 1st through 3rd.
10 teams = $750.00 to 5th place per category (plus Backyard GC & RGC)
15 teams = $1,250.00 to 8th place
20 plus teams = $1,750.00 to 10th place
ANCILLARY CONTEST:
1st place = $100.00 Cash plus Trophy
2nd place = $75.00 Cash
3rd place = $50.00 Cash
