In this time of COVID-19, most competitions have been shut down in the name of safety for the judges. Thinking of staff and judge safety foremost, the St. Louis Brews is sponsoring a new competition this year called VirtuAle. The main idea behind the name is that beers will be judged "virtually", with each judge responsible for individual bottles of beer and they will communicate via Skype, Zoom, etc. to discuss the beer and come up with a consensus score.
Styles will be divided into the following judging categories. Each category below lists the BJCP styles for that category, along with the maximum number of entries allowed. Note that these categories may change based on the number of entries received and the number of judges available.
