This season, the road to USRC started at the CoffeeChamps Preliminaries. These member-driven events took place in 4 cities across the US! Competitors who placed in the Top 3 at these Preliminaries, earned a reserved spot at one of the 2 CoffeeChamps Qualifying Competitions. Held in Nashville, TN and Orange County, CA, competitors who place in the top 12 at each qualifying competition move on to USRC! The Fine Print: Registrations are non-refundable/non-transferable. The Top 12 competitors from the Nashville and OC Qualifiers advance to USRC. The Rankings from each Qualifier automatically turn into waitlists. Any unclaimed position(s) will be offered to the next highest scoring barista(s) from the Qualifier in which the unclaimed position(s) came from. Positions will be offered in descending sequence until all spots are filled. COMPETITION SCHEDULE OVERVIEW Thursday 4/23/2020 – Open Lab, Sample Roasting, and Green Grading Friday 4/24/2020 – Green Grading and Production Roast Practice Saturday 4/25/2020 – Production Roasting Sunday 4/26/2020 – Audience Service ONLINE LEARNING SESSION: The Online Learning Session is designed for competitors and judges. Attendance is mandatory for all judges and competitors. The session will be recorded; those who cannot attend the live session may watch the recording. However, attendance at the live session is highly recommended, so everyone has the opportunity to ask questions. Competitors, coaches, co-workers, business owners, judges, and volunteers are welcome to attend. USRC Training Friday March 20th @ 10am Pacific
