The Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition is recognized as one of America’s premier wine competitions, supporting one of Texas’s strongest charitable organizations.
The competition is judged by local and national experts with extensive wine credentials. Judging is based on a double-blind procedure and audited on site by PricewaterhouseCoopers, ensuring the highest integrity. Although judging will take place in November 2019, the year assigned is 2020 to coincide with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. All public wine events to showcase the competition winners are held in February and March 2020. In the 2020 International Wine Competition Mendoza, Argentina will be our featured region.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ promotes agriculture by hosting an annual, family-friendly experience that educates and entertains the public, supports Texas youth, showcases Western heritage and provides year-round educational support within the community. Since its beginning in 1932, the Rodeo has committed more than $475 million to the youth of Texas.
