Entry Deadline:
This starts as a recipe contest then becomes a cook-off.
Recipes for the 2020 Legendary Lentil Cook-off must be original and specify at least one of the following – 1/2 cup raw USA lentils – 1 cup cooked USA lentils – 1/2 cup of lentil flour.
Recipes should not contain more than 15 ingredients not including salt, pepper or oil.
The National Lentil Festival will provide each contestant with one hotel room for two nights in Pullman (Friday night and Saturday night). Additional room charges are the sole responsibility of the contestant.
Travel instructions will be provided July 10, 2020. Each contestant is expected to make his or her own travel arrangements to Pullman, Washington. If warranted, up to $500.00 will be reimbursed to contestants contingent upon submission of travel receipts.
Qualifying receipts include: airfare, rental car or mileage. Mileage will be reimbursed based upon the set rate of the IRS at the time of the festival. Ground transportation will be provided by the festival.
1st Place – $2,000.00
2nd Place – $1,000.00
3rd Place – $500.00
