This starts off as a recipe contest and turns into a cooking contest.

Got kids that can cook? Now in its third year, the popular Garlic Chef Jr. competition will return on Friday, July 24, featuring eight young chefs (ages 9-18) competing for a prize valued at $500.00.

Each chef must prepare a dish using at least six cloves of garlic and may have one adult (non-professional) sous chef to assist.

Each Chef will create one (1) original cooked/baked dish that must include at least six (6) cloves of garlic, on the Cook-Off Stage on July 24, 2020. The dish can include sides, however sides are not required. Recipe must be their OWN, not a version of another recipe. The Festival will provide fresh whole garlic, jarred minced garlic, jarred pickled garlic and jarred chopped garlic (no other types of garlic will be permitted).
