General Information
You must submit 2 bottles for each entry. One bottle is used for initial judging and one bottle is used for BOS prize judging. Entries with only one bottle may not be eligible for prizes if there is not enough sample left for the judging of the final round.
While not required, we suggest that those entering IPAs, Pale Ales and Begian styles include three bottles since that will allow us to have a fresh bottle for any mini-best of show rounds required. If you provide two bottles and advance to a mini BOS round, reserved beer from the first round bottle will be used which may deterimentally impact your beer.
12oz brown glass bottles are preferred; however, green and clear glass will be accepted. Swing top bottles will likewise be accepted as well as corked bottles. 16 and 22 ounce bottles are accepted, but the bottle needs below still apply regardless of the bottle size. Mead entries may be in smaller 8 ounce bottles.

Awards Ceremony

The awards ceremony will take place at the ASH Spring Fest on Saturday, 4/11/20 at Tempe Kiwanis Park. You must be an ASH member in good standing to attend this event.
Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category. A minimum score of 28 is required to earn a medal. Each entry is entitled to one medal; for entries brewed by multiple brewers, additional medals may be purchased.
The 1st place entry in each category will advance to the Best of Show (BOS) round. Highly-qualified BJCP judges will sample all gold medal beers and select one Best of Show winner based on beer quality, stylistic accuracy and overall drinking pleasure. BOS medals will be awarded in the cider and mead categories of the total number of entries received is 12 or more in the category.
