2019 Home Baking Association Educator Award Contest

General Information

Submit a your plans for a baking lesson or a baking community service program or adult or teen leader skill training.

Baking community service program may include “Bake for Family Fun” month, Bake and Take Day, bake sales or community service baking programs.

The focus of your entry must be baking education and its interdisciplinary benefits to young people.

Your entry should include a 1 page summary and supporting information for the 5 judging criteria: Baking Emphasis/Execution and Interdisciplinary Skills
Creativity
Pre-Evaluation/Testing; Post-Evaluation/Testing
Community Service.

This is an annual contest, so you can also plan ahead for next year’s entry!

Open to legal residents of the United States of all ages.

You should be a professional, adult youth leader or volunteer who teaches baking skills in: Classrooms (Pre-K, elementary or secondary); Libraries’ Public or private organizations; Community youth programs, out-of-school camps and clubs; Families. Also open to youth teaching peers or younger ages.

Prizes / Awards / Medals / Ribbons

Top entry – $1,000.00 cash and an all-expense paid trip for two to the Home Baking Association Annual Meeting, to present a summary of your award-winning project.

Special recognition awards – may be awarded for Best Community Reach, Best Hands-on Baking Activity, Most Creative.

All entries receive complimentary HBA teaching resources.
